Make all your wedding plans easier by attending the Statesville Bridal Expo on Sunday, Feb. 23 from 1-5 p.m. Vendors including florist, decorators, photographers, videographers, wedding attire specialist (dresses & tuxedos), caterers, wedding & event planners, DJ's, musicians, hotel management, health & beauty specialist and travel agents will be available to discuss your wedding plans and ideas.

This event presents a wonderful opportunity for brides and grooms and wedding planners to gather ideas, meet the vendors and view examples of their quality work and services in a one-stop, all-inclusive atmosphere. 

Admission to the expo is $5 per person; however, grooms can enter free while accompanying their bride-to-be. Door prizes will be offered throughout the day to all brides who register at the expo.  Brides have a chance to win a grand prize of $500 and second prize of $250.  Click here to see more on Facebook.

UPDATED ON Sunday, Feb. 16

Garbage Collection:

Monday's regular garbage and recycling collection will take place as scheduled.
On Monday, crews will also pick up Thursday and Friday's routes - no recycling, just trash.

Recycling: If you need to dispose of your recyclables, there's always the recycling center in the parking lots of the Police Station on Sharpe St. and the Statesville Fitness & Activity Center on Simonton Rd.  They are open 24 hours a day!

Snow Removal: All streets are clear.  Sand trucks are standing by to assist with icy patches that may develop.  Crews will begin removing snow on Monday.  

Power Outage: If you have a power outage, report it to 704-878-3479.
