Get ready to “wag and wiggle” at the Statesville Civic Center to Raggs LIVE! Dance Party, starring the colorful cast from “Raggs,” the hit public television series! The rockin’ group of furry canine characters will perform a high energy, interactive show from 6-6:45 p.m. Preschoolers—and the entire family-are encouraged-to sing and dance-a-long.

These charismatic characters impart subtle messages about the power of friendship, respect and cooperation while demonstrating how much fun it is to get up and move your body. “We are thrilled to be able to share the `Raggs experience’ with our Statesville fans and families,” said, Toni Steedman, Raggs’ founder and president, “Our energetic live show is filled with original music, educational concepts and exciting surprises that go together for a truly fun-filled time.”

The Raggs Live Dance Party is open to everyone. Admission is $1. The doors open at 5 p.m.

National Night Out, Statesville’s Night Out Against Crime, will be held on the grounds of the Civic Center and feature:

  • DJ & live entertainment
  • Emergency & Law Enforcement Vehicles
  • Crime Prevention Displays
  • Gang Prevention Awareness
  • Health & Safety Exhibits
  • Kids Identification Kits
  • Variety of Food Vendors
  • Kids Zone Activities - Inflatables, carnival games & rides

There is no admission charge and it is open to the entire community.  Bring a chair or blanket and spend the evening!

National Night Out has been observed for 25 years as a way to bring communities together and make citizens aware of how they can prevent crime and prevent drug use. It is sponsored by the Statesville Police Department, Weed and Seed, Statesville Housing Authority and the Statesville-Iredell Gang Initiative
