City Bulletin

A boil water advisory remains in effect for Statesville water customers until further notice. The advisory will be in effect until at least lunch time Thursday.  Any water to be used for drinking, brushing teeth, cooking or food preparation should be boiled for at least one minute before using.  It is okay to use the water for bathing, showering, washing clothes and cars once you have flushed your lines until they are clear.

Water service returned this morning and customers should be finding that their water pressure is back to normal.  They may also find that the water is cloudy or that there is the sound of rushing air coming from the tap.  This is expected and customers should just let the water run until it is clear.

Bottled water is available for residents who are unable to boil water at all the City Fire Stations, the Statesville Police and Fifth St. .  (Locations below)  Volunteers will be on hand to distribute water from 4 until 10 p.m. today.

Fifth Street Ministries, 1421 5th St, south Statesville
