City Bulletin

There is a winter weather advisory for snow, sleet and freezing rain for Statesville and surrounding areas in effect on Friday, Jan. 25, from noon to 11 p.m.  It will start around midday and taper off Friday evening.  Expect accumulations of snow and sleet up to one inch, along with up to one-tenth of an inch of ice.  Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities. Use caution while driving.

CITY PREP:  On Thursday, the Statesville Street Division spread a brine solution to the heavier-traveled City streets in advance of the anticipated freezing precipitation.  Road conditions will be monitored through the day, with the snow plows and sand/salt trucks on standby.

EMERGENCIES: In case of a fire or serious emergency, call 911.   If your power goes off and you are a Statesville City customer, call 704-878-3479.  You will be prompted to give information.  Please stay on the line – this information is important in our efforts to restore power.

SANITATION SERVICES: Garbage and leaf collection will operate on a regular schedule and expect to be finished before the weather gets too bad.  Stay tune for any changes.

CITY HOURS:  Statesville will operate on a regular schedule.  We will communicate any changes in office hours and services.

STAY CONNECTED: For up-to-date information, keep checking the City’s website, Facebook and cable channel 20. Tune in to local radio stations WSIC and WAME.
