City Bulletin

Updated Information - Saturday, Dec. 9 at 8:30 a.m.

Street crews are putting sand on slick spots but no plowing is necessary. The crews came in early this morning to remove fallen trees that landed in the road. The department will keep an eye on the roads throughout the weekend and encourage drivers to be safe when traveling over bridges and hills. Street Department crews are on standby to clear roads if it becomes necessary and are spreading sand on slick spots where needed.

With temperatures possibly dropping below freezing, residents are reminded to weatherize water pipes that are exposed to outdoor temperatures.  Backflow devices also need to be insulated.  More information is available on the City’s web site:

Please call 704-878-3406 to report slick or icy spots on the roads that have not been treated with salt or sand.
