You asked for it and we are pleased to announce a free PAPER SHREDDING EVENT for Statesville residents.  The City is proud to partner with Shred-South for this community event.


This is for confidential PAPER records that need to be destroyed.  This includes old tax records, business records, medical records and any other paper records containing confidential information.


ACCEPTABLE: Paper (any color), paper clips, staples, rubber bands, hanging file folders, manila folders, windowed envelopes.


NOT ACCEPTABLE: Trash, bottles, cans, liquids, food including gum/candy, plastic, CD/DVDs, VHS or other magnetic tape, 3-ring binders and any other hard foreign objects.  Absolutely NO BATTERIES – Fire Hazard!!!


All shredding will be done on-site during this event and is limited to eight standard sized file boxes or the equivalent.


Don’t worry about unloading the boxes – we will have volunteers there to help.  And all donations (tips) will go to Special Olympics of Iredell.  Donations are greatly appreciated!!!
