Santa Central is the perfect place to drop off your letters to Santa to make sure they arrive before December 25.  Santa Central is located in Statesville City Hall, 279 S. Center St., the site of Statesville's post office 125 years ago.  The magic mailbox is in the lobby and has the ability to special express  your letter to the North Pole without a stamp!

Letters can be dropped off at Santa's magic mailbox Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., from Dec. 1 until Dec. 16.  Special "Dear Santa" stationary is also available at Santa Central. If you'd like a reply from Santa, just include your address in the letter and drop it in the magic mailbox by Dec. 16.

You can also tell Santa what you want for Christmas in person on Friday nights, Dec. 2, 9 and 16, from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. at Santa Central (City Hall).  There will also be children's activities and refreshments.

In addition, there will be live entertainment each Friday night.  On Friday, Dec. 2, Victorian-era guides will give you a personal tour of City Hall, and several scenes from the Nutcracker Ballet will be performed at 7 p.m. by members of Betty's School of Dance.  On Dec. 9 and 16, acoustical guitarist and singer Eli Yacinthe will perform at City Hall.

Santa Central is free and open to the public as part of Downtown Statesville's Shop and Stroll holiday events.  It is sponsored by the City of Statesville Public Information Office and Recreation & Parks Department.
