Statesville City Council will meet Monday night, April 15 at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 227 S. Center St.  This is a public comment meeting which allows persons to speak at the beginning of the meeting about any issues.

Following the presentation and public hearing, City Council will consider adopting a Post-Construction Stormwater Ordinance to establish and define the authority applicability and billing mechanism for the Stormwater utility.  This is a requirement by state and federal regulations and will require the amending of the City’s Unified Development Ordinance.

Council will also consider a request to establish the Stormwater Utility Enterprise Fund.  The fee associated with this utility ($4.70/month/equivalent residential unit – ERU) was set in September 2018.  With the establishment of the Enterprise Fund, Council will be asked to advance funds to pay for equipment and personnel necessary to begin the new program.

A public hearing is scheduled to present the site plan for Panera Bread Restaurant and Aspen Dental Office, 964 Glenway Drive. Following the public hearing, Council will consider approving the plans.

The meeting can be viewed live on Spectrum Cable Channel 20.
