The Statesville Historic Preservation Commission will conduct a called meeting on November 30, 2023 at 7:00pm. The meeting will be held in the city council chambers on the 2nd Floor in City Hall, 227 S Center Street.

AGENDA

1. Welcome

2. Roll Call & Swearing In

3. Review and approval of October 26, 2023 HPC Minutes.

4. Presentation of National Register of Historic Places Plaque.

5. Consideration to continue Certificate of Appropriateness (COA23-17) from Joseph Murray to add brick veneer to the newly constructed chimney boxes on the structure located at 518 South Race Street; Tax Map 4734-83-3083.

6. Consideration to continue Certificate of Appropriateness (COA23-19) from Mary Jane Draper to replace the front porch shingles and replace two columns on the side porch on the structure located at 424 Western Avenue; Tax Map 4734-92-2832.

7. Consider Certificate of Appropriateness (COA23-21) from CBC2 Construction LLC, represented by Latoya Rinehardt, to replace the front door on the front elevation of the structure located at 423 W Bell Street; Tax Map 4734-93-0454.

8. Consider Certificate of Appropriateness (COA23-16) from Mitchell Community College to replace the existing entrance sign with a new entrance sign on the property located at 101 South Race Street; Tax Map 4734-74-8918.

9. Consider Certificate of Appropriateness (COA23-22) from Mitchell Community College to replace the siding on the front, side and rear elevations, remove doors and windows from front elevation, replace original windows, replace front porch columns and railings, replace front porch flooring, repair the decorative pediment with like material, and replace the existing ramp with a new ramp on the structure located at 131 North Mulberry Street; Tax Map 4734-85-4721.

10. Consider Certificate of Appropriateness (COA23-23) from Holsey Memorial Church to construct a wooden carport on the property located at 222 South Mulberry Street; Tax Map 4734-84-8701.
