TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND PARTICULARLY THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF STATESVILLE’S PLANNING JURISDICTION YOU WILL TAKE NOTICE:
That the City Council of the City of Statesville will hold and conduct public hearings on the 16 th day of September 2024, at 6:00 o’clock p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 227 South Center Street, Statesville, North Carolina, for the purpose of considering proposed ordinances to amend the zoning classification of the after-described properties and consider adopting text amendment as follows:
ZC24-01: Rezoning initiated by Mrs. Leigh Polzella (applicant) on behalf of BRD Land for the properties located in the Southeastern quadrant of the City between Shiloh Road and Nabors Road, Statesville. The request is to rezone the 601.96 acres from Iredell County RA (Residential Agricultural) District to the City of Statesville R-5MF CZ (High Density Multi-Family Residential) Conditional Zoning District. ZC24-08: Whites Mill Road: Rezoning initiated by Mr. Bart Hopper on behalf of Hopper Communities for 56.27 acres located South of the City between Calvary Baptist Church and Larkin Front Nine Subdivision on Whites Mill Road. The request is to rezone the subject parcel from HI (Heavy Industrial) District to R-5 CZ (High Density Single-Family Residential Conditional Zoning) District. This property is further identified as Iredell County Tax Map # 4743-26-2055.
ZC24-15: Serene Meadow Trail: Rezoning initiated by Mr. Todd Akers, for the 22.32 acres properties located at the intersection of Shelton Ave and Serene Meadow Trail. The request to rezone from City of Statesville R-20 (Suburban Residential) District, City of Statesville RA (Residential Agricultural) District and Town of Troutman RS (Suburban Residential) to R-8 CZ (Medium Density Single-Family Residential Conditional Zoning) District. This property is further identified as Iredell County Tax Map # 4732-66-3067, 4732-56-5223, 4732-66- 9038, and 4732-66-3119
