Run-off Election Information

Early voting begins on Thursday, July 7, for the City of Statesville run-off elections for mayor and two at-large city council seats. Election Day is Tuesday, July 26. Early voting runs through Saturday, July 23. Early voting for the City elections will be held at the Board of Elections office in Statesville: ♦ Thursday, July 7 & Friday, July 8: 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. ♦ Monday, July 11 – Friday, July 15: 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. ♦ Monday, July 18 – Friday, July 22: 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. ♦ Saturday, July 23 — 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registered voters residing inside the City of Statesville will be eligible to vote in two races: Mayor: Incumbent Costi Kutteh and Brian Summers; City Council At-Large: Incumbent Steve Johnson, James Pressly and Kimberly Wasson (Vote for 2)

Leisure Pool Open on July 4

The Statesville Leisure Pool is open Monday, July 4th, with two sessions: 11 AM-3 PM and 4-8 PM. More information about the pool can be found at The Fitness and Activity Center is closed on July 4th and reopen Tuesday morning.

July 4th City Holiday Schedule

Statesville City offices will be closed on Monday, July 4, in observance of the Fourth of July holiday. There will be no garbage collection on this day. The revised schedule for July 4-8 for residential routes is: • Monday’s route will be collected on Tuesday. • Tuesday and Wednesday routes will be collected on Wednesday. • Thursday & Friday routes will operate on their regular schedule.
