Shooting - Vernon Lane

On Thursday, September 22, 2022, the Statesville Police Department received a call in reference to a subject that had been shot in the 300 block of Vernon Lane. Patrol arrived on scene and located a subject laying in the road suffering from a gunshot wound to the left leg. Patrol officers began rendering first aid to the victim and was able to give out a description of the suspects and the suspect vehicle.

Shooting - 1129 Wilson Lee Blvd

On Monday, July 25th, 2022, at approximately 11:18 P.M. the Statesville Police Department received a report that a subject was located inside the residence of 1129 Wilson Lee Blvd suffering from a gunshot wound. Shooting at 1411 Salisbury Road

On Sunday July 24th, at approximately 5:11 a.m., the Statesville Police Department received a report of a gunshot victim at Iredell Memorial Hospital. The victim, later identified as William Ryan Beam, 45, of Statesville, was transported to the hospital in a personal vehicle. Beam had sustained a single gunshot to the abdomen and was later transported by Iredell County EMS to a trauma center for care.

Statesville Man Sentenced in Federal Court

Dena J. King, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina, announced that Anthony Dewayne Daye, 38, of Statesville, has been sentenced to 151 months in prison for selling firearms without a license and illegal gun possession. He was also ordered to serve three years of supervised release. In making the announcement, King thanked the ATF, Hickory Police Department and Statesville Police Department for their investigation of this case.

Armed Robbery Arrest

Statesville Police have arrested D’Angelo Malindsay Barker, 22, of Statesville, for the armed robbery of the D&D Express/Market Basket at 1504 Salisbury Rd on May 6, 2022. Earlier today, Barker was found hiding in a closet in an apartment at Signal Hill Apartments. He is being held in the Iredell County Jail on a $100,000 secured bond.
