Thank you to everyone who came out for our monthly community meeting today at the Goodwill Workforce Development Center on Turnersburg Hwy! We had a great turnout!
Police Chief David Addison and Fire Chief Spencer Lee answered questions and led dialogue with those in attendance. Topics that were discussed included abandoned properties, public transportation, and the need for resources for the homeless and the recently incarcerated.
We will continue to host these meetings at different locations in the city on the third Saturday of the month starting at 1pm. We will announce the next location soon! Keep check on our Facebook page and the city website.
We encourage everyone to attend these meetings and bring your questions and concerns regarding anything - it doesn’t have to be crime or police service related. We are all part of the City of Statesville and our departments work together to address how best to improve the quality of life for our citizens, but it takes input and assistance from the community to make things happen.
