Assault Inflicting Serious Injury – 474 N. Center Street

On October 3, 2022, a fight occurred inside Statesville Senior High School involving five juvenile students who assaulted another juvenile student. The victim in the fight was transported to Brenner’s Hospital in Winston- Salem, N.C. to be treated for injuries and was later released. The Statesville Criminal Investigation Division learned of the incident and began an investigation. Investigators began interviewing witnesses and obtaining video of the fight that occurred. During the investigation, all five suspects were identified as ones who were hitting and kicking the victim.
Investigators conferred with the district attorney’s office and will be seeking felony assault charges on the five suspects. The names of all individuals involved are being withheld due to their status as juveniles.
