On Monday, July 25th, 2022, at approximately 11:18 P.M. the Statesville Police Department received a report that a subject was located inside the residence of 1129 Wilson Lee Blvd suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers arrived on scene and found Marcus Miller, 29, of Statesville, with a gunshot wound to his hip. Officers began rendering first aid to the wound until the arrival of Iredell County EMS who transported Miller to Baptist Hospital. The last report from Baptist Hospital was that Miller was in stable condition.
Statesville Police Department Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene and began speaking to witnesses who reported hearing gunshots outside of 1129 Wilson Lee Blvd. No other information was provided as to how the shooting occurred. Evidence of a shooting was located outside the residence and investigators are still in the process of attempting to locate additional evidence.
