Because of the forecast for rain, the Downtown Statesville Trick-or-Treat event has been moved to Wednesday, October. 27, 4-6 p.m. No matter when you trick-or-treat this weekend, plan ahead to make sure the folks you are visiting know you're coming. Public Notice - Troutman Drive

The public will take notice that the preliminary assessment roll for the street improvement project on Troutman Drive between Peachtree Road and a point 1,020 feet south of Peachtree Road, which was completed on the 14th day of September 2021, has been prepared by the City Clerk. The preliminary assessment roll will be available for public inspection in the office of the City Clerk until the date set for the public hearing on the preliminary assessment roll (November 1, 2021). The City Council will hold a public hearing at 7:00 o’clock p.m. on the 1st day of November 2021 at the Statesville City Hall for the purpose of hearing public hearing objections to the preliminary assessment roll from all interested persons who appear.

Council Ward Redistricting Update

CHANGE IN PUBLIC HEARING DATE: City Council has selected a new redistricting plan. There will be a public hearing on the plan at the Nov. 15, 2021 Council meeting. The approved districts will be in effect for the next citywide election, scheduled for March 8, 2022. Up for election will be the Mayor, 2 at-large Council seats and seats in Wards 2, 3 and 5.
