Consent Agenda
- Approved the February 20, 2023 meeting minutes.
- Second reading for property located at 3511 Cambridge Place approved.
- Annexation request for property located at 2104 & 2106 E. Greenbriar Road removed from the agenda.
- Approved a resolution of support for NCDOT to name the I-77/I-40 interchange after Judge Robert A. Collier, Jr.
- Approved a one-year audit contract with Martin Starnes & Associates CPA.
- Granted permission to the SFD to apply for the FY22 SAFER grant.
- Approved second reading of an ordinance designating a No Parking Zone on the east side of S. Oak Street Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.
- Approved two property lease agreements with The Lamar Companies. In lieu of receiving rent, the City will receive design assistance and six months of billboard display within the community.
Regular Agenda
- Approved funding source for Fire Station 1.
City Manager’s Update
- NC Main Street Conference will be held at the Civic Center March 14-16. Expecting to have around 700 people here for the conference.
- Public Meeting on March 14 at Fairview Baptist Church for the I-77/Jane Sowers Road feasibility study. 2 sessions – 11:30am to 1:30pm and 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
