scam alertThe City of Statesville has received reports of salespeople claiming to represent the City, going to door-to-door attempting to sell water purifier systems. The City of Statesville does not solicit door-to-door – period.

Statesville Water Customers should also disregard claims that the salespeople represent a government agency or a Water Quality Association, or possess an EPA registration. These organizations do not endorse water tests or water treatment products.

The City of Statesville will never demand payment in cash or require access to your home unless necessary in an emergency. Staff will always carry an identification badge and drive a city-marked vehicle Also, water testing kits are not provided by the City.

Statesville’s most recent Water Quality Report report shows that the City's drinking water meets or exceeds every health standard developed by both the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
