Iredell County Emergency Notifications

Be prepared when disaster strikes. Register to get weather and community alerts on your cell phone or email.

There are two kinds of alerts:

COMMUNITY ALERTS - include messages about missing persons, rabid animal warnings, special announcements, etc. It’s a good way to know about emergency situations when they happen. Be sure to put in your street address so that you only get the messages impacting your area.

WEATHER ALERTS – When there is a weather emergency, the system will automatically call landlines. But you will need to add your cell phone number and unlisted landline number to get these important weather alerts (flooding, tornadoes).

This system is managed by the Iredell County Communications Division. When you receive alerts on the phone, the Caller ID will show an unfamiliar number. This system is referred to as the “Hyper-Reach” system.
