Celebrating the Joy of the Season: City of Statesville's Magical Tree Lighting Event

Last Updated 12/1/2023Posted in Latest City News, Homepage

The spirit of the holidays came alive in Downtown Statesville as the community gathered for a cherished tradition - the annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony (Thursday, November 30, 2023). It was a delightful evening filled with laughter, music, and the warmth of togetherness.

Santa Claus himself made a special appearance, joining Mayor Kutteh to light the beautiful Christmas tree that now stands tall, casting its magical glow over the heart of the city. The atmosphere was filled with cheer as families and friends gathered around.

Families stopped by City Hall to write letters to Santa. The Boys & Girls Club of the Piedmont treated everyone to heartwarming renditions of timeless Christmas carols. The Little Blue Choo train whisked attendees away on a delightful ride, offering the opportunity to enjoy the beautifully decorated streets. Families and friends gathered around the dazzling tree to snap a picture. It was a night to remember—one that reminded us all of the beauty of coming together to celebrate and create lasting memories.

To everyone who joined us in making this event a resounding success, thank you! Your presence and enthusiasm truly made the evening magical. Here's to a season filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments with family and friends.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Statesville!
