The City of Statesville is expanding fire protection services with the development of Statesville Fire Station 5 at 533 Gaither Road.
The project involves retrofitting an existing house on the property to function as a fire station, including building upgrades, roof replacement, grading and concrete work, and the addition of an apparatus bay to support emergency response operations.

| Kimbrough Park Renovation | June 2026 | The Kimbrough Park Renovation is a major improvement project which upgraded park amenities to create a more accessible and enjoyable public space. This project included the installation of a new playground and shelter near the basketball courts and restrooms, along with renovations to enhance ADA compliance in the restroom facilities. These upgrades make Kimbrough Park a more inviting and functional space for community gatherings and recreation. |
| Statesville Regional Airport Terminal Building | March 2026 | The City of Statesville is invested in the future of air travel with the construction of a new three-level airport terminal at 238 Airport Road. This state-of-the-art facility will enhance the experience for pilots, travelers, and businesses utilizing the Statesville Regional Airport, a key transportation hub in the region. |
| March 2026 | The Exit 45 Sewer Line Extension was a key infrastructure project aimed at expanding sewer service to the I-77 Exit 45 area, including the Larkin Regional Business Park. This project will provide approximately 17,000 linear feet of new gravity sewer lines, enhancing the city’s wastewater capacity and supporting future economic development. | |
| Martin Luther King Jr Park Pickleball Courts | March 2026 | Work included the demolition of 12 horseshoe pits, surrounding fencing, and existing asphalt. New installations consisted of concrete, fencing, surfacing materials, lining, and a premium pickleball court equipment package for each court. |
