Public Information Meeting: Determine Your Level of Flood Risk

City of Statesville residents and members of the business community will have the opportunity to review and ask questions about the preliminary data in the newly updated Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) for Iredell County.

The preliminary maps are currently available for review by contacting Randall Moore, Stormwater Program Manager, City of Statesville Stormwater Division, at (704)761-2385 or the North Carolina Floodplain Mapping Program, at (919)715-5711. You can view the maps online at http://fris.nc.gov/fris/.

At this meeting citizens can:

• View preliminary flood maps for Iredell County.
• Locate your property on the flood maps.
• Discuss how the maps are connected to flood insurance and floodplain management.
• Speak with representatives from the NC Emergency Management about the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
