The Statesville Historic Preservation Commission will conduct a regular meeting on April 25, 2024, beginning at 6:00pm. Quasi-judicial training for commission members will begin at 6:00pm and the regular meeting for cases being heard will begin at 7:00pm.

PLEASE NOTE: The meeting will be held at the Statesville Civic Center in the Media Room. The Statesville Civic Center is located at 300 South Center Street, Statesville, NC 28677.

3. 6:00pm – 6:55pm - Quasi-Judicial Training Session for Historic Preservation Commission Members

4. 7:00 pm - Swearing In of All Interested Parties for Cases to be Considered

5. Review and approval of March 20, 2024 HPC Minutes.

6. Consider Certificate of Appropriateness (COA24-07) from Maria Escobar to install slate tile on the front porch landing and stairs, place a wood vent on the front elevation of the structure, replace the fiber cement board exterior siding on the second floor rear addition with stucco, create a new entrance/exit door with a new porch and stairs on the east elevation of the house, and install dentil molding on the exterior of the structure near the roof line on the property located at 318 West Front Street, Tax Map 4734-94-1836.

7. Consider Certificate of Appropriateness (COA24-08) from Hyesuk Kim to construct a new garage in the rear yard at the property located 507 West Front Street; Tax Map 4734-84-3288.

8. Consider Certificate of Appropriateness (COA24-09) from Jim and Blanche Schwarz to install new wood aluminum clad windows in the structure located 511 Davie Avenue; Tax Map 4744-17-7871.
