The City of Statesville is seeking dedicated individuals to join the Statesville Housing Authority Board of Commissioners. What Does the Board Do?

The Statesville Housing Authority Board is tasked with overseeing public housing operations and policies that benefit our community. The Board works collaboratively to:

  • Enhance the availability and quality of public housing.
  • Develop strategies to address housing challenges.
  • Promote fairness and transparency in housing assistance programs.

Who Can Serve?

  • The Board consists of 5 to 11 commissioners appointed by the mayor.
  • At least one commissioner must be a person directly assisted by the Housing Authority.
  • City officials are not eligible to serve.
  • Terms last five years, and commissioners may serve until their successor is appointed.
