Temporary Road Closure on Winston Avenue for Sewer Installation (April 29–May 2, 2025)

Beginning Tuesday, April 29, Winston Avenue will be closed near 1109 Winston Avenue, the site of the new Municipal Operations Center. The closure will remain in place through Friday, May 2, as contractors work to install a sewer service connection. Detour signs will be posted, and drivers are encouraged to follow the alternate routes listed below to safely navigate around the closure.

Detour Instructions:

  • If you’re traveling east from Belfast Road: Use Slingshot Road → Buffalo Shoals Road → Garner Bagnal Boulevard → Wilson Lee Boulevard to reconnect with Winston Avenue.
  • If you’re traveling west on Winston Avenue: Use Wilson Lee Boulevard → Garner Bagnal Boulevard → Buffalo Shoals Road → Slingshot Road to reconnect with Belfast Road.
