Community Appearance Commission Announces Fall 2025 Appearance Award Winners

The City of Statesville’s Community Appearance Commission is proud to recognize three outstanding properties as the Fall 2025 Community Appearance Award recipients. These awards celebrate residents who take exceptional pride in the appearance of their homes and neighborhoods, helping to enhance the beauty and character of our community.

This season’s honorees represent three different neighborhoods across the city:

  • Milton & Cindy Bland – East Broad Street
  • Jay & Melanie Ellenburg – Davie Avenue
  • David Knight – Georgia Avenue

Each of these properties stood out for their well-maintained landscaping, seasonal curb appeal, and overall visual impact. From neatly trimmed lawns and welcoming outdoor spaces to thoughtful fall décor and consistent upkeep, these homes reflect the spirit of community pride that the Appearance Awards program was created to highlight.

“The Community Appearance Awards are one of our favorite ways to recognize residents who go above and beyond to keep Statesville beautiful,” said Ann Speaks, Chair of the Community Appearance Commission. “The Fall 2025 recipients truly capture the warmth and charm of the season through their homes.”

The Community Appearance Commission presents awards twice each year, in the spring and fall, as part of its mission to promote cleanliness, beautification, and community pride throughout Statesville.
