The Airport Commission is responsible for recommending broad policies that affect the care and maintenance of the Statesville Regional Airport. The commission makes recommendations to City Council for schedules of fees for airport facilities, and the lease and sale of airport properties.
The commission is composed of seven (7) voting members. Five members are appointed by the Mayor and Council, one (1) member of City Council is appointed by the Mayor, and one (1) member of the County Commissioners is appointed by the County Commissioners. No more than three (3) members can live outside the city limits.
The Airport Commission meets on the second Wednesday of each month at the City Hall in the Second Floor Conference Room.
