Caldwell Park Tennis Court Renovation

Project Update: March 1, 2026

The Caldwell Tennis Court Renovation was an important investment in recreational infrastructure at Caldwell Park. This project resurfaced all eight tennis courts with ProBounce turf material, improving playability and eliminating deep cracking issues that have affected the existing asphalt courts. This upgrade provided a better playing experience for the community while supporting tennis programming and regional tournaments.

The quick-start court conversion to pickleball has been completed. This project is now complete.

Project Update: December 2025

Improvements continue at Caldwell Park as part of the Tennis Court Renovation project. The net posts and net have been installed on the Quick Start court that has been converted to pickleball, making the court available for play.

Once the caps arrive, the old net posts will be removed, and the post sleeves will be capped rather than filled. This approach preserves flexibility should the posts be needed again in the future.

Project Update: November 6, 2025

Resurfacing of the smaller tennis court is nearly complete. We’re now just waiting for the new net posts to be installed in the correct locations before full reopening.

Project Update: September 4, 2025

Progress continues at Caldwell Park as part of the tennis court renovation project. Court signage is currently being finalized, and the decorative wall painting has been completed. Resurfacing of the smaller court is anticipated to begin within the next two to three weeks.

According to the contractor, recent weather delays have impacted their current schedule, but they expect to have crews available soon to begin work at Caldwell Park. The contractor expressed appreciation for the community’s patience and noted that another update on the project timeline will be provided by the end of the week.

Project Update: July 2025

The newly renovated tennis courts at Caldwell Park are now open and actively being used by the community. Feedback from local players and the broader tennis community has been overwhelmingly positive, and we’re excited to see the courts being enjoyed daily.

Remaining work to complete the full renovation includes:

  • Replacing the court signage
  • Painting one of the decorative walls
  • Resurfacing the smaller quick start court adjacent to the parking lot

Contractors are coordinating now to begin the wall painting project in the coming weeks, and the resurfacing of the smaller playing surface is anticipated to begin in early August.

We appreciate the community’s enthusiasm and support as we wrap up the final touches on this project.
