Summer Camp Kicks Off with an Adventure-Filled Week 1 with Statesville Recreation & Economic Vitality

Summer Camp is officially underway, and our campers wasted no time jumping into a week full of fun, exploration, and outdoor adventure! (Week 1: June 8 - 12, 2026)

Among the adventures, Our Day Camp campers enjoyed a visit to Mountain Creek Park, where they spent the day exploring, playing, and making new friends while enjoying the great outdoors.

Meanwhile, our Adventure Camp campers traveled to some of North Carolina's most exciting destinations. Throughout the week, they explored the scenic trails and breathtaking views at Stone Mountain State Park, searched for hidden treasures at Emerald Hollow Mine, and enjoyed hiking and outdoor recreation at Bakers Mountain Park.

From outdoor exploration and hands-on learning to building friendships and creating lasting memories, Week 1 was the perfect start to an exciting summer.
