Carolina BalloonFest

The Carolina BalloonFest aims to preserve the legacy of hot air ballooning in Iredell County and give back to the community. 

It is the second-longest hot air balloon event held consecutively in the United States, with a rich history in ballooning.

The festival takes place every third weekend in October and offers a variety of activities.

You can watch morning balloon competitions, mass ascensions, and evening balloon glows.

There is also live entertainment, a kids' zone, a marketplace, and an artisan village.

You can enjoy wine and craft beer from North Carolina while watching aerialist circus performances and skydiving exhibitions.

The festival also supports local non-profit organizations by donating a percentage of its proceeds!
