LEGAL NOTICE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND PARTICULARLY THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF STATESVILLE’S PLANNING JURISDICTION YOU WILL TAKE NOTICE:

That the City Council of the City of Statesville will hold and conduct public hearings on the 18th day of December 2023, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber of City Hall, 227 South Center Street, Statesville, North Carolina, for the purpose of considering the proposed cases as follows:

ZC23-20: Rezoning initiated by Mr. Mike Sherard, for an 8-acre tract of property located on Dorsett Place, from CU-18 R-5MF (High Density Multi-Family Residential Conditional Zoning) District to R-5MF (High Density Multi-Family Residential) District to eliminate the existing conditions and allow a townhome subdivision; Tax Map Parcel # ’s 4744-53-2188, and 4744-53-6145.

ZC23-21: Rezoning initiated by the City of Statesville for a 30-acre tract of property located at 444 Third Creek Road, the Third Creek Zoning District to the LI (Light Industrial) District, to allow for the future Mitchell Community College Public Safety Training Facility; Tax Map Parcel # 4753-31-4625 (portion). TA23-14: Text Amendment to the Unified Development Code filed the City of Statesville, to amend Article 8 Public Facilities Requirements, Section 8.01 Generally, Section 8.02 Water, Section 8.03 Centralized Wastewater Systems, and Section 8.04 Private (Onsite) Wastewater Systems.

TA23-15: Text Amendment to the Unified Development Code, filed by the City of Statesville to amend the supplemental regulations for Child/Adult Home Day Care in Article 5 Supplemental Regulation/Performance for Specific Uses, Section 5.02 Accessory Uses and Structures; and amend Article 9 Definitions for Adult/Child Home Day Care and Child/Adult Home Daycare.
