The Statesville Historic Preservation Commission will conduct a regular meeting on January 25, 2024 at 7:00pm. The meeting will be held in the city council chambers on the 2nd Floor in City Hall, 227 S Center Street.

AGENDA

1. Welcome

2. Roll Call & Swearing In

3. Review and approval of December 21, 2023 HPC Minutes.

4. Consider Certificate of Appropriateness (COA23-18) from Claus Gomolka to place a metal storage building in the rear yard of the property located at 313 South Mulberry Street; Tax Map 4734-94-0597.

5. Consider Certificate of Appropriateness (COA24-01) from Maria Escobar to place one over one wood windows in the structure located at 318 West Front Street; Tax Map 4734-94-1836.

6. Consider Certificate of Appropriateness (COA24-02) from Barry and Holly Whitesides to install an open-air carport in the rear yard of the property located at 423 Armfield Street; Tax Map 4734-93-2016.

7. Consideration to continue Certificate of Appropriateness (COA23-19) from Mary Jane Draper to replace the front porch shingles, replace two columns on the side porch, and retain the wood vents and high strength structural repair mortar placed in the front porch foundation on the structure located at 424 Western Avenue; Tax Map 4734-92-2832.

8. Consideration to continue Certificate of Appropriateness (COA23-26) from Capfin Statesville, LLC to replace vinyl windows previously installed and any rotten windows on the front façade lower floor with the wood windows from the rear elevation; place new true divided light wood windows on the front elevation second floor, and replace the existing front doors with new doors on the structure located at 228, 230, 232, 234, and 238 East Broad Street; Tax Map 4744-16-1130.
