LEGAL NOTICE

TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND PARTICULARLY THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF STATESVILLE’S PLANNING JURISDICTION YOU WILL TAKE NOTICE:

That the City Council of the City of Statesville will hold and conduct public hearings on the 19th day of February 2024, at 7:00 o’clock p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 227 South Center Street, Statesville, North Carolina, for the purpose of considering a proposed ordinance to amend the zoning classification of the after-described properties as follows and a text amendment to the Unified Development Code as follows:

ZC24-02: Rezoning initiated by Norman Hope for the five properties located on Monroe, Jost and Elpine Streets. The request is to rezone the subject parcels totaling approximately 5.44 acres from B-5 (General Business) District to R-5 (High Density Single-Family Residential) District. These properties are further identified as Iredell County Tax Map #’s 4744-41-6560, 4744-41-5382, 4744-41-8554, 4744-41-7281 and 4744-41-8412.

TA24-01 Text Amendment to the Unified Development Code filed by the City of Statesville, to amend Article 2. Development Review Process, Section 2.17 Certificate of Zoning Compliance, C. Application, for water supply for fire protection.
