PUBLIC NOTICE: Parking Changes at the Statesville Police Department & City Office Building

Effective May 5, 2025, the City parking lot located between the City Office Building and the Statesville Police Department will be closed to public parking Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This closure is necessary to accommodate construction activities for the Statesville Police Department Expansion Project and the new parking deck.

Public parking for visitors to the Police Department is available in spaces numbered 1–6 located on the front row when entering from E. Sharpe Street. Public parking will be allowed after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and throughout the weekends. Overnight parking is not permitted at any time.

Also during this time, parking at the City Office Building will be reserved for City employees and customers only. Access remains available via the S. Center Street and E. Front Street entrances. Handicap accessible parking is available at both the Police Department and City Office Building locations.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve our facilities. Please plan accordingly and use alternative parking options during daytime hours.
