Public Hearing Notice: Consideration of Installment Financing Contract for City Water Line Upgrade

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The City Council of the City of Statesville, North Carolina (the “City”) has determined to consider whether to enter into an installment financing contract (the “Contract”) pursuant to Section 160A-20 of the General Statutes of North Carolina in a principal amount not to exceed $3,202,746 for the purpose of paying the costs of upgrading the City’s main water line. The City will secure its obligations under the Contract by a deed of trust that grants a security interest in the equipment where the Project is located.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Sections 160A-20 of the General Statutes of North Carolina, that on May 19, 2025 at 6 pm, or as soon thereafter as practicable, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall Building, 227 South Center Street, Statesville, NC, a public hearing will be conducted concerning the approval of the execution and delivery of the Contract. All interested parties are invited to present comments at the public hearing. Any person wishing to comment in writing should do so by submitting comments to the City of Statesville, PO Box 1111, Statesville, NC 28687-1111, Attention: City Clerk.
