Temporary Road Closure: Sewer Tap Installation on Hartness Road

The City of Statesville will be closing the 500 block of Hartness Road, located between Radio Road and Wesley Drive, beginning at 6:00 p.m. this evening (May 8, 2025). The closure is necessary to allow crews to install a sewer tap. The work is expected to take approximately six hours, and the road will reopen once the installation is complete.

Detour Routes:

From Center Street: Vehicles turning onto Hartness Road will be detoured to Radio Road → Georgia Avenue → Wesley Drive → back to Hartness Road.
From Brookdale Drive: Vehicles turning onto Hartness Road will be detoured to Wesley Drive → Georgia Avenue → Radio Road → back to Hartness Road.

Drivers are encouraged to follow all posted detour signs and use caution while traveling through the area. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete this important infrastructure improvement.
