Statesville Community Appearance Commission Honors 2025 Spring Award Winners

The Statesville Community Appearance Commission has announced the winners of the 2025 Spring Community Appearance Awards, honoring individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to enhancing the visual appeal of their neighborhoods and the broader community.

This year’s recipients are Barbee and Dee Ham of Innisbrook Drive and Sarah and Kenneth Teague of Walnut Street. Both properties were selected for their outstanding efforts in landscape maintenance, curb appeal, and overall contribution to the visual charm of their neighborhoods.

“These awards celebrate more than just beautiful yards,” said Ann Speaks, Chair of the Community Appearance Commission. “They honor the pride, care, and commitment that residents bring to their neighborhoods – efforts that inspire community-wide beautification.”

Each year, the Community Appearance Commission invites nominations for the awards and selects winners based on appearance, originality, and contribution to the neighborhood’s character. Winners receive a decorative yard sign and formal recognition from the City of Statesville.
