The City of Statesville will close the intersection of Brookdale Drive and Carolina Avenue North from September 2 through September 10, 2025. This will be a 24/7 closure to allow for necessary construction activities in the area.

Detour Information

  • For vehicles traveling south from the Woods Drive and Carolina Avenue North intersection:

    1. Proceed south on Woods Drive and turn left onto Hartness Road.

    2. Continue on Hartness Road and turn right on Brookdale Drive.

    3. Follow Brookdale Drive and turn left onto Stockton Street to the 5-point intersection. 

  • For vehicles traveling north on Brookdale Drive:

    1. From Brookdale Drive, turn left onto Hartness Road.

    2. Continue on Hartness Road and turn right onto Woods Drive.

    3. Proceed on Woods Drive to approach Carolina Avenue North.

Detour signage will be posted at all major turns to help guide traffic safely around the closure.

We appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation while these improvements are completed. Drivers are encouraged to allow extra time for travel in this area.
