Brookdale Drive from Carolina Avenue N to Oakdale Drive

As part of the ongoing Water Line Replacement Project, a section of Brookdale Drive will be closed to through traffic beginning Wednesday, September 10, 2025.

The closure will impact Brookdale Drive from Carolina Avenue to Oakdale Drive as crews continue critical construction work to improve the city’s water infrastructure.

Detour Routes

To help drivers navigate around the closure, the following detours will be in place:

  • From Carolina Avenue N heading west: Turn left on Woods Drive, left onto Hartness Road, left onto Oakdale Drive, then right onto Brookdale Drive.
  • From Brookdale Drive heading north: Turn right onto Oakdale Drive, right onto Hartness Road, right onto Woods Drive, then right onto Carolina Avenue N.

What to Expect

  • This section of Brookdale Drive will be closed to through traffic until work is completed.
  • Access for local traffic may be maintained where possible, but motorists are encouraged to follow detour routes.
  • As with all construction projects, schedules are weather dependent and subject to change.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as this important infrastructure improvement project moves forward.
