October 7 Road Closure: Brookdale Drive from IMH Emergency Entrance to Hartness Road

As part of the ongoing Water Line Replacement Project, Brookdale Drive from the South Entrance of Iredell Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department to Hartness Road will be closed to through traffic beginning October 7, 2025.  The road will be reopened on October 13.

Detour Route for Northbound Traffic

For vehicles traveling north on Brookdale Drive attempting to continue toward Carolina Avenue:

  1. From Brookdale Drive, turn left onto Hartness Road.
  2. Continue on Hartness Road and turn right onto Oakdale Drive.
  3. Proceed on Oakdale Drive and turn left onto Brookdale Drive.
  4. Continue on Brookdale Drive north to Carolina Avenue.

Additional Details

  • Access to Iredell Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department will remain open, but drivers should expect delays and follow posted signs.
  • Local traffic access will be maintained where possible, but motorists are encouraged to use caution and plan for extra travel time.
  • All schedules are weather dependent and may shift based on field conditions.
