Brookdale Drive Paving Scheduled Following Waterline Project

Last Updated 12/29/2025Posted in Public Utilities, Latest City News, Homepage

The City of Statesville is pleased to share an update regarding Brookdale Drive, which has experienced significant impacts due to the ongoing Waterline Replacement Project.

Per the contractor, paving on Brookdale Drive is scheduled to begin the week of January 5, weather permitting. If weather conditions prevent work from moving forward that week, paving will be rescheduled for the week of January 12.

We understand that Brookdale Drive has been a challenge for residents, businesses, and drivers traveling through the area. The road conditions during construction have been frustrating, and we sincerely appreciate the patience shown by the community throughout this essential infrastructure project.

This paving work represents the final major step in restoring the roadway following the completion of underground utility improvements. Once paving is complete, drivers can expect a smoother, safer roadway.

Residents are encouraged to remain cautious while crews are working and to watch for traffic control devices and signage during the paving process.

Additional updates will be shared if the schedule changes due to weather or other unforeseen conditions.

Thank you again for your patience as we work to improve our city’s infrastructure.
