Why Plunge?! If you are a person with intellectual disabilities, you encounter adversities daily. You must have courage to try something that doesn’t come easily to you. Our athletes bravely face challenges on the field, in the pool and on the court. They are the inspiration for this event. The funds raised will provide year-round sports training, competition, leadership opportunities, and health services to Special Olympics athletes in our community.

Be brrrrr-ave and take the plunge!

Statesville Fire Department takes the Plunge!

Just look at those faces – they’re standing on a snowbank and already shivering, and they haven’t even hit the water yet.

The Statesville Fire Department Polar Plunge crew has raised just over $1,300 for Special Olympics Iredell County.

We’re this close to sending Fire Marshal Morrison and Assistant Chief Nicholson from the warm sidelines straight into the cold too. If they’re freezing now, just wait until we hit that next goal!

We’ve got this with your support – keep the donations coming and let’s make this plunge even bigger (and colder)!

Things could get very interesting depending on how much they raise:

➡️ $1,500 raised - AC Nicholson & FM Morrison jump in

➡️ $2,000 raised - DC Bell & DC Kennedy join the team

➡️ $2,500 raised - Chief Kurfees takes the plunge 😱🥶

DONATE NOW HERE.

The more we raise, the bigger the team and the colder the water! How far can we push this?! Let’s show up BIG for Special Olympics!
