A portion of N. Race Street will be closed to thru traffic this evening due to an emergency water line repair.

Beginning at 5:30 p.m., N. Race Street from W. End Avenue to approximately the 300 block of N. Race Street will be closed while crews work to repair the water line.

The repair is expected to take approximately four to six hours to complete. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes while the work is underway.

City crews will work to maintain access for residents in the area and will ensure that those who live along the affected portion of the road can enter and exit their driveways during the repair.

The roadway will reopen as soon as the repair is completed and it is safe for travel. We appreciate the public’s patience as crews work to complete this necessary repair.
