REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS for The City of Statesville
Stormwater Engineering
September 11, 2023

The City of Statesville is interested in obtaining professional services from one professional firm to provide engineering and design services for two culvert replacements. The City is seeking consultants whose experience and personnel will provide timely professional services to support this project. Selection of a consultant by the City in response to this request does not guarantee that professional services will be required. The City maintains sole discretion in assigning projects, if any, to the selected consultant.

Envisioned Scope of Services:

The City anticipates selecting one firm/team to provide engineering and design service for two culverts located in a Floodway.

The project may include the following:

 Professional land surveying and mapping

o Easement/plat preparation

 Utility location/relocation

 Hydrologic and/or hydraulic analysis/modeling

 Alternatives analysis and opinions of probable construction costs

 Preliminary design and final designs for new construction or repair of two culverts located inside of the Floodway.

 Preparation of construction documents (plans, specifications, bidding, awards, etc.) for the above

 Permitting

o Waterway Jurisdictional determinations

o Section 401/404 permitting

o FEMA (No-Rise, CLOMR, and/or LOMR)

o NCDEQ - Sediment Erosion Control

o Encroachment agreements  Geotechnical services

 Supporting the City in preparation of applications for potential funding (grants)

 Utility coordination

 Bid phase services

 Construction phase services

 Other services as required
