Last Updated 2/19/2024In Latest City News, Homepage

The City of Statesville is excited to announce its Canned Food Drive, a special initiative in honor of Canned Food Month throughout February.

This campaign aims to collect canned food items to support local food pantries and help those in need within our community.

We have established convenient drop-off locations across the city, making it easy for residents to participate in this cause.

The following locations will serve as collection points for canned food donations:

  • Statesville City Hall – 227 S. Center Street
  • Customer Service Office – 301 S. Center Street
  • Bentley Community Center – 1410 3rd Street
  • Statesville Civic Center – 300 S. Center Street
  • Statesville Fitness & Activity Center – 1875 Simonton Road
  • Statesville Police Department – 330 S. Tradd Street
  • Statesville Fire Station 1 – 316 S. Meeting Street
  • Statesville Fire Station 2 – 110 Security Drive
  • Statesville Fire Station 3 – 779 Eastside Drive
  • Statesville Fire Station 4 – 115 Martin Lane

Residents are encouraged to drop off non-perishable canned food items at any of these locations during the entire month of February. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in the lives of individuals and families who rely on local food pantries.

The City of Statesville is committed to giving back to the community and fostering a spirit of generosity and support among its residents. By participating in this Canned Food Drive, you are directly contributing to the welfare of your neighbors and friends who may be experiencing food insecurity.

All collected donations will be distributed to local food pantries, ensuring that the food reaches those who need it most within the Statesville community.

Mayor Costi Kutteh expressed enthusiasm for the Canned Food Drive, saying, "This initiative reflects the caring and compassionate spirit of our community. I am confident that the residents of Statesville will once again come together to make a positive impact on the lives of those less fortunate."
