City Revises 2024 Regular Meeting Schedule for Statesville City Council

Statesville, North Carolina - June 17, 2024

Ordinance No. 24-24

An ordinance to revise the 2024 Regular Meeting Schedule for the Statesville City Council and the times for the meetings.

WHEREAS, General Statue 160A-71 allows a Board to fix a time and place for meetings; and

WHEREAS, General Statue 143-318.12(a) requires the City Council schedule of regular meetings to be kept on file with the City Clerk.

WHEREAS, General Statue 143-138.12(b) allows a Board to revise the schedule of regular meetings,

WHEREAS, the meeting calendar will remain as scheduled through June 30, 2024,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the following meeting schedule be Statesville City Council.

This ordinance was introduced for first reading by Council Member Allison, seconded by Council Member Jones, and unanimously carried on the 3rd of June, 2024.

Ayes: Jones, Wasson, J. Johnson, Allison, Lawton, Pearson, Hudson, S. Johnson

Nayes:

The second and final reading of this ordinance was heard on the 17th day of June, 2024 and upon motion of Council Member Hudson, seconded by Council Member Jones, and unanimously carried, was adopted.

Nayes:

This ordinance is to be in full force and effect from and after the 17th day of June 2024.
