The Statesville Historic Preservation Commission will conduct a called meeting on May 1st , 2025, beginning at 7:00pm. The meeting will be located at 227 South Center Street in the Council Chambers on the 2nd Floor.

AGENDA

2. Roll Call

3. Review and approval of February 2025 HPC Meeting Minutes.

4. Consider Certificate of Appropriateness (COA25-08) from Will and Adela Wardlow to install metal fencing in the front and side yards, a wood fence in the left side yard, new railings, balustrades and columns on the front porch, a new deck and stairs on the north elevation, and a parking pad in the left yard on the property located at 337 South Oak Street; Tax Map 4734- 73-5626.

5. Consider Certificate of Appropriateness (COA25-09) from Kent and Donna Day to replace the existing front porch tongue and groove flooring with a composite flooring material on the structure located at 131 North Race Street; Tax Map 4734-75-4324.

6. Overview of Regional Certified Local Government Training conducted by the State Historic Preservation Office on April 11, 2025 in Statesville.

7. Overview of Preservation North Carolina’s programs to enhance the knowledge and presence of historic places, towns and cities in North Carolina.
