Fiber Optic Installation Scheduled in Greenbriar Subdivision

An orange utility marker and exposed service line stand beside a neighborhood sidewalk, indicating underground utility or infrastructure work in progress. A quiet residential street lined with trees and well-kept lawns stretches into the distance on a sunny day.

The City of Statesville has approved a Right-of-Way Encroachment Permit for Ripple Fiber to install underground fiber optic conduit and cable in the public right-of-way within the Bell Farm Subdivision. This work will support the expansion of fiber internet services in the area.

Work is scheduled to take place from March 25 through April 3, 2026, weather permitting. Residents may notice crews working along roadways and within the public right-of-way during this time. While every effort will be made to minimize disruptions, brief delays or temporary impacts to traffic may occur.

This project is being completed by Ripple Fiber and its subcontractor, Carolina Lighthouse. As a reminder, this work is being performed by a private contractor, not the City of Statesville.

Fiber installation projects are part of ongoing efforts to expand high-speed internet access throughout the community. Federal regulations require municipalities to allow access to public rights-of-way for this type of infrastructure.

Residents with questions or concerns related to the work may contact Ripple Fiber directly.
