Fiber Optic Installation Scheduled on Commerce Boulevard
The City of Statesville has approved a Right-of-Way Encroachment Permit for STS Cable Services, Inc. to install fiber optic infrastructure within the public right-of-way along Commerce Boulevard.
Work is scheduled to begin on April 2, 2026, and is expected to be completed by April 3, 2026, weather permitting.
The project will involve the installation of fiber optic conduit and cable along approximately 400 feet of Commerce Boulevard. Residents and motorists in the area may notice construction activity and are encouraged to use caution when traveling near the work zone.
