Local Artist Amy Sullivan Shares Artwork with Mayor’s Office at City Hall

Last Updated 5/26/2026Posted in Latest City News, Homepage

The City of Statesville is proud to showcase the work of local artist Amy Sullivan inside the Mayor’s Office at City Hall.

Amy recently provided two of her original paintings, Iredell County Beauty and Autumn Stripes, which are currently on loan and displayed in Mayor Doug Hendrix’s office.

Iredell County Beauty features a barn located in rural Iredell County. Amy shared that she enjoys painting these historic structures because “they will not be here forever and will not be rebuilt.”

Her second piece, Autumn Stripes, captures the colors of the landscape and sunsets often seen throughout Statesville during the fall season.

As a local artist and friend of the mayor, Amy’s artwork brings a personal and creative touch to the office while highlighting the beauty and character of the community.

“We appreciate Amy sharing her talent and artwork with us,” said Mayor Hendrix. “The paintings add warmth and color to the office, and it is always special to feature the work of local artists here at City Hall.”

The City of Statesville thanks Amy Sullivan for sharing her artistic talents and helping celebrate the beauty of Iredell County and Statesville through her work.
